One of the poorest and underdeveloped countries in the world, Benin is known as Dahomey and renamed as the
People's Republic of Benin in 1975. With the population about 9211.7, Benin is located in the West Africa and its
capital is Cotonou. As Benin had been ruled by France, French instilled the idea of democracy to Benin. Under a
democratic government, the economy of Benin is depending on agriculture, cotton production , and regional trade.
